Job Description
As a Operations Manager you will work day to day with Vacation Rental Managers/Property Managers to ensure quality and consistent service to short term rental guests, HOAs and Homeowners. You will be responsible for leading a team that manages the Vacation Rental Program, including solicitation of rental management contracts, coordination of housekeeping and maintenance, inspections pre-arrival and post-departure, as well as working with Revenue Management and Reservations teams to maximize rental revenue and occupancy.
Responsibilities
  • Communicate service expectations to management team and hold team accountable for results, response and internal follow up as warranted
  • Monitor, support and resolve any owner or guest issues
  • Support budgeting, reviews, variance reporting and forecasting for multiple departments
  • Attend HOA/Board meetings to network and support overall Property Management efforts
  • Interview, hire, train and mentor on-property staff, both management and front line
  • Lead team including weekly inspections, coordination of repair or maintenance work and communication with homeowner when appropriate
  • Serve as operational liaison with sales and conference services, supporting office tours as well as management face for owners or HOA
  • Oversee capital projects for both company owned assets as needed
  • Communicate goals and responsibilities to management team, track progress towards goals and support achievement of goals
  • Participate on departmental, company and corporate teams as appropriate
Qualifications
  • Passion for providing and leading others in providing exceptional service
  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Administration, Finance or similar
  • Some experience in hospitality management role qualified candidates will be able to demonstrate experience in multi-property resort setting with individually deeded properties and an HOA component
  • Some management experience, managing multiple mid-level managers who each have multiple reports
  • A proven track record of outstanding leadership across a large team of direct reports (not required) but useful
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to satisfy various stakeholders
  • Ability to read, comprehend and write complex correspondence and effectively communicate with guests and homeowners using diplomacy and tact required
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays
  • Experience with Property Management software applications such as SMS, PMS and Streamline VRS is preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications - Excel, Word required
  • Able to lift up to 30lbs and stand for long periods of time
  • Valid driver's license required
 
 
Compensation: $28.00 per hour
